We chose Torrance for one reason: great public schools.  We have high hopes for the future.  I can tell you the schools mostly deliver. Mostly. And "mostly" is the word doing a lot of work in that sentence, because I've also watched kids fall through the cracks, watched teachers get blamed for an underfunded system (I hate this — teachers are not the problem, and I will not abide that type of talk, here or on the board).
